The bridge crane is a lifting equipment that is horizontally framed over the workshop, warehouse and material yard for material lifting. Because its two ends are located on tall concrete columns or metal supports, it is shaped like a bridge. The bridge frame of the bridge crane runs longitudinally along the tracks laid on the elevated bridges on both sides, and the space under the bridge frame can be used to lift materials without being blocked by ground equipment. Simple beam bridge
Also known as beam crane, its structure is similar to ordinary bridge crane. Lifting weight, span and working speed are all small. The main girder of the bridge frame is a simple cross-section beam composed of I-beam or other section steel and plate steel. A hand chain hoist or electric hoist is equipped with a simple trolley as a lifting trolley. The trolley generally runs on the lower flange of the I-beam. The bridge frame can run along the track on the elevated frame, or along the track suspended below the elevated frame. This type of crane is called a suspended beam crane.
This kind of crane can participate in specific technological operations in the steel production process. The basic structure is similar to that of ordinary bridge cranes, but the lifting trolley is also equipped with unusual working mechanisms or devices. The working characteristics of this type of crane are frequent use, poor conditions, and high level of work. There are mainly 5 types:
1. Casting crane:
It is used for hoisting molten iron into the mixing furnace, steelmaking furnace and hoisting molten steel into continuous ingot casting equipment or steel ingot molds. The main trolley lifts and transports the bucket, and the auxiliary trolley performs tasks such as turning the bucket.
2. Clamp crane:
Use clamps to lift the high-temperature steel ingot vertically to the deep pit soaking furnace, or take it out and put it on the ingot transporter.
3. De-spindle crane:
It is used to force the steel ingot out of the steel ingot mold. There is a de-ingot device on the trolley, and the de-ingot method depends on the shape of the ingot mold: some de-ingot crane presses the steel ingot with an ejector rod, and uses large tongs to lift the ingot mold; some uses large tongs to press the ingot mold and small tongs Lift the steel ingot.
4. Feeding crane:
Used to add charge to the open hearth. The lower end of the column of the main trolley is equipped with a picking rod, which is used to pick up the material box and send it into the furnace. The main column can rotate around a vertical axis, and the pick rod can swing up and down and rotate. The auxiliary trolley is used for furnace repair and other operations.
It is used to forge large workpieces with hydraulic press. A turning device is hung on the hook of the main trolley to support and turn the work piece; the auxiliary trolley is used to lift the work piece.
